To celebrate the holiday season, I wanted to talk about my favorite fashion moments from classic Christmas movies. From cozy and chic ensembles to extravagant, show-stopping coats, I find so much sewing inspiration in the holiday season. Here are some of the movies I rewatch when I’m in need of some winter fashion inspiration, or just want something to cuddle up and drink hot chocolate to!
Circle skirts were staples of ‘50s fashion, and we know you’ll love this versatile and feminine piece. Our free circle skirt pattern has the perfect vintage length, side seam pockets, a beautiful lapped zipper, and waistband with hook-and-bar closure. It’s a great beginner project, but also works great as an essential staple for more advanced sewists. (Who doesn’t need one in every color in their wardrobe?)
