Recommended Fabrics, Supplies, and Yardage Requirements
Recommended Fabrics
We recommend knit fabrics that don’t fray, like stretch neoprene or scuba knit. You can also try stretch lace, nylon tricot, or ponte knit. The sleeve and gown hems are unfinished. Your fabric should have around 50% stretch (4 inches of fabric should stretch to 6 inches).
Notions & Supplies
- Bryant Gown pattern from Charm Patterns
- Fabric for the dress
- Thread to match
- Non-stretch lace trim (We used 2-inch-wide Venise lace trim, but use any width that is easy to shape around the neckline.)

How do I download, print, and use my PDF pattern?
We offer digital patterns in two formats: letter-sized PDFs to print at home and A0 sized PDFs to print at a copy shop. In the US, we highly recommend printing A0 files with The Plotted Pattern. Outside of the US, these printers have been recommended.
