Trick or treat, sewists! Are you ready for another spine chilling project? Live out your darkest fantasies in our Dagger Collar—pair it with patterns in our library for a truly ghoulish ensemble.
I’m so thrilled to present the most perfectly macabre Morticia Gown. If you’re anything like me, you think that Carolyn Jones in the original Addams Family was the epitome of dark glamour. Perfect for nights of Halloween mischief (or every day for you goths out there!) we’ve expanded the Bryant Gown into something perfectly morbid.
Circle skirts were staples of ‘50s fashion, and we know you’ll love this versatile and feminine piece. Our free circle skirt pattern has the perfect vintage length, side seam pockets, a beautiful lapped zipper, and waistband with hook-and-bar closure. It’s a great beginner project, but also works great as an essential staple for more advanced sewists. (Who doesn’t need one in every color in their wardrobe?)
I’ve been dying to bring you the launch of our first ever Halloween Extravaganza –– that’s thirteen days of sweet and spooky sewing delights. Check back here regularly for your daily trick… or treat!
We’ve created a bonus tutorial for those of you looking to complete your June Cleaver fantasy (or just complete your outfit!).
We’re so excited to bring you the Cobbler Dress and Set! This design is based on ’50s cobbler aprons: tunic-style garments with big pockets that were cinched at the waist with a tie.
With the release of our Mariner Top, we’re feeling nautical at Charm HQ! Here is some inspiration I I found while designing this month’s pattern, and a brief history of nautical fashion.
Ahoy, sailor! We’ve created a vintage-inspired nautical blouse that we know you will love to sew. Inspired by middy blouses, mariner scout uniforms, and ’50s fitted sailor dresses, this pattern is the perfect blend of sweet and sassy.
To celebrate the release of our Scout Dress, here’s a bit of history on the shirtdress, which has been such an enduring staple throughout the years.
Fit has always been central to this work –– it’s so important to us that everyone can feel their absolute best in our patterns. Our current size range of sizes 2-20 with separate A-H cup sizes goes through painstaking testing to make sure that it fits every size in the chart beautifully. To serve even more vintage sewing enthusiasts, we have now created a new size range, in sizes 18-34 with cup sizes A-H. This new range will go up to a 64 inch bust, 56 inch waist and 64 inch hip.
