The Galentine’s Apron is here to carry on Charm’s new tradition of making beautifully impractical aprons to celebrate the majorly important holidays (like Galentine’s Day!). It’s perfect for you and all of your friends, because who doesn’t need more ruffles and fabulousness in their life?
The apron is designed for adult-sized bodies. If you’d like to make a smaller or larger apron, just print at a smaller or larger scale.

Recommended Fabrics, Supplies, and Yardage Requirements
Recommended Fabrics
For a sheer Galentine’s Apron, we recommend: silk organdy, underlined in silk organza. This is what we used.
For a non-sheer apron, we recommend: cotton sateen, broadcloth, lawn, eyelet, and shirtings. Alternatively, for a more glamorous finished garment, silk taffeta, dupioni, or shantung may also be used.
For the apron support, we recommend: lightweight tricot or woven fusible interfacing, or silk organza.
For the decoration, we recommend: ribbon, trims, beads and bobs. Basically, anything!
Notions & Supplies
- Fabric for the apron
- Underlining fabric, if desired
- Tulle fabric for the heart decoration, totally optional
- Thread to match
- Lightweight fusible interfacing (woven or tricot types)
- As much decorative trim and baubles as you can stand
For the apron fabric, you’ll want 3-1/2 yards (3.2 m) of 45-inch-wide fabric or 2-3/4 yards (2.5 m) of 60-inch-wide fabric.
How do I download, print, and use my PDF pattern?
We offer digital patterns in two formats: letter-sized PDFs to print at home and A0 sized PDFs to print at a copy shop. In the US, we highly recommend printing A0 files with The Plotted Pattern. Outside of the US, these printers have been recommended.
