So Much Drama! The Hollywood Robe is an expansion pattern for the Hollywood Dress, with a looser bodice, a dramatic drop sleeve, and an optional long train for the skirt.
Inspired by the extravagant robe that Jean Harlow wears in the 1933 movie Dinner at Eight, this garment is stunning in sequins with faux fur or feathers at the sleeves, but in a different fabric, it’s also an elegant yet practical robe for lounging around the house.
While the sleeves are not interchangeable between the two pattern bodices, feel free to mix-and-match the skirt lengths and bodice/sleeve options to create your perfect short everyday robe, long dressing gown, or over the top sequined fantasy dream!
I hope you enjoy this pattern and use it to create your own Hollywood fantasy!
