Sabrina Dress and Skirt Pattern

What could be more iconic than a little black dress?

The Sabrina Dress celebrates the classic simplicity of Audrey Hepburn’s style (in movies like Sabrina and Breakfast at Tiffany’s) with a fully-lined boatneck bodice, French darts, three sleeve options, and a pleated pencil skirt in two lengths.

Plus, the bodice and skirt are both interchangeable with the other patterns in Charm’s Stanwyck series, like the Aurora Bodice, Lucille Trousers, and Stanwyck Skirts.

This dress would be stunning as a long gown in silk or sateen, but it’s also a perfectly work-appropriate number in wool crepe or suiting.

The Hollywood Dress is dedicated to three icons of the silver screen: Jean Harlow, Marilyn Monroe, and Dorothy Dandridge. This versatile design is a draped woven wrap dress with three sleeve options and two skirt lengths.

Depending on your fabric choice, you can stun in a sequined or satin evening gown, lounge in a glamorous hostess robe (as Marilyn did in Niagara), strut in a chic skirt separate (like Dorothy in Carmen Jones), or turn the fantasy into an everyday dress instead. So many options!

Boardwalk Sundress and Patio Skirt Pattern

Charm’s summer school is now in session, and I have the perfect pattern for you to celebrate the season!

The Boardwalk Sundress was inspired by the iconic blue polka dot milkmaid-style dress worn by Marilyn Monroe during a 1957 photoshoot with her husband Arthur Miller.

Charm’s version includes thin shoulder straps, a gathered bust over a fitted midriff panel, clever ties that form a bow at the front keyhole opening, and a three-tier gathered patio skirt.

To make this pattern even better, both the bodice and the skirt are compatible with other Lamour-series patterns, so you can mix and match to create dozens of other garments!
